I can honestly say, I think you should stick with Garry's mod. From what i've seen, you can do more with it then this, and personally, i think gears was terrible.

I don't know what to think. The Litfuse fan in me wants to cheer in joy, but the hardcore gears player in me makes me unimpressed. As a whole I thought the camera angles were great, The animation decent(apart from Fenix's bland flying animation), and the voices very spot on. I just don't think Mr. Bada$$ Marcus Fenix should go in an Ironman direction. Overall I think it was good as a first release for the engine.

Excellent camerawork, always nice to see. Guess I agree with the comments about the, eh hem, "Story" though. But seriously good work with the unreal engine, lads. Top notch.

To all those that say this does not suck.....
This is not a bad movie, a bit slow at times, but overall good, not great. Now to the point, If you saw this video made by someone else you would probably think less of it. You might not stand up for it as much, even though it is their first time. Remember if you don't point out the things in it that need improvement, not overlook them like some here suggest. Even though they are new, they still should have light criticism. Without it, and without re-assurance of their flaws, and successes how can they grow to be even greater? Remember, when you see a small child draw something poorly, you don't say its horrible even though you think so, but you do need to help them repair their issues.

Personally.. the only problem I had was the pace, and the small points where the flames came from.

PS, I rant, and I am sorry.

For a first go on a new engine it was alright. The animation was good and smooth, the camera angles were perfect as always. The only thing I didn't like was the storyline, or the lack thereof. Now I am by no means a machinimator but as a viewer I was wanting perhaps more of a plot. However, I am hoping now with this one out that now you have learnt the engine to some extent and can spend more time on the story, as that is often your strong point.

personally enjoyed it - and was good to see a move from the comfort zone of Gmod / source. Really can't understand the 'knockers' - more power to Lit Fuse for keeping the Machinima coming despite hectic RL! Personally, I wish his 'boosters' were more tempremental, resulting in his clashes with the bad guys ending in hilarity : but hell, I didn't spend the days and weeks it takes to make a film! nice one.

I liked it.

Y'all are just saying it was bad because of the amasing standerd of films Lit Fuse produce.

Guys really now LITFUSE is best at the garry's mod and hammer editor. GIVE CREDIT they are trying something new and for there first movie of using the Unreal Engine I call this an achievment.

To everyone that says this sucks.
EVERY HAS GOTTA START SOMEWHERE!!!

As much as I'd like to go into an eleborate discussion as to why exactly I considered it bad, I won't. I know both the source and the unreal engine and the machinima and mapping options they offer. I know animating is time-consuming and a pain if you're not skilled at it.

I've also seen the other Lit Fuse works, and this was the first one I've really considered as 'not amusing'. It feels like a mix in between serious and comical, but it's really neither of both.

Like Spork said, it would have been better to call this a technical demo.

This was NOT bad. Quite a solid piece of machinima actually. And taking into account that it was a debut work I'd say it is quite an achievement.

To those calling it bad - why don't you go and do something better yourselves? Then we can compare and decide whose one is bad and whose isn't.

Exelent music by Lars. :)
Great camera work. For a first movie in the unreal engine, it's not bad. The animations in some places where kinda stiff, but overall I liked it.

Haha. Am I the only one to notice that Fenix went out with a bang ? :D

*ahem* I find it kinda sad, when people (like phasy) say this movie is "bad". What would the world do without experts like you ? Seriously. They do these movies in there free time.

As a side note, could have used a couple more shots with Marcus chainsawing (then again, that's just me).

This was bad, real bad. How long have you worked on this? A day or 3? The music was good, but the video... No storyline, no revolutionary good post-production or anything. It's not worthy to be called a lit fuse film imo.

flying animation was laughable

I was a little disappointed with that one guys. There were some good parts to it like the very end and the very beginning but the flying part was pretty bad. I like the idea of using the Unreal engine and I know this was your first run with it, but you can do better...

PS: the streaming isn't working for me, I just get a blank webpage. This happen for anyone else?

What other people said, Not Lit Fuse quality. Please do not do something like that again. I usually watch Lit Fuse films more than once and that is the only one I do not want to see again. 4/10 WFT guys....

Andy, what makes you think they're leaving the source engine behind? They're simply experimenting with new engines, playing with some new toys if you will.

Seriously, I think Lit Fuse is far better off with Garry's Mod Machinimas. I loved every single video they had that was made with Garry's Mod, especially Melon 3 and Combine Nation. So why leave that behind?
