Machinima Festival New York, Fenix and more

  • Today my Father and I ordered our New York flight tickets and booked the hotel in Jersey City, taxi ride in is no problem. I’m getting really quite excited for it now, we’re gonna be in New York on the 31st till the 3rd while we check out the Machinima Festival.
  • Flying Fenix is almost done, Lars has already been doing some awesome music for it and I really like where it’s going.
  • Rob, though busy at Bioware, has been working in his spare time on his machinima film using a game we’ve not used before. I’m sure he’ll write up a news post on the main site… I think
  • Zach, again busy at Bioware, has been doing some stuffs but no one must know. Before you think it’s Jack’s story, it’s not.
  • Dragon Age comes out with a toolset so I’m looking forward to getting my dirty little hands on that.
  • Castle Crashers on Xbox Live Arcade is awesome, I wish I had more time to play it.
  • Viva Pinata and Spore come out on Friday… there goes my life again.
  • Google Chrome. It’s quite good isn’t it?

In other news, in 10 days im going for a week to the Roskilde Festival, wich is in Denmark. I bet most of you have heard of this festival, cuz its HUGE. I bought a tent today and an entire week in there with music and alcohol will do the trick. Artist im deff gonna attend is Chemical Brothers, Radiohead, Digitalism and Gnarls Barkley (maybe some more, dont remember). Let me know if some of you guys are joining this event. Gonna be sweet. Well, enjoy the songs, let me know what you think of em too :) YAY

omg!!

Michael made me do it.

All of us at Lit Fuse have been quite busy lately, from the new music distribution system, to pre-production on movies to come, there’s alot of work for everyone, including myself. Here are some tidbits from some of my recent work.

Christmas amongst the Lit Fuse Family

This isn’t anything new, and the task was pretty straight-forward, manage to capture a moment of our LF guy’s christmas eve. He’s a somewhat shy fellow (when not flying trough the skies with a rocket strapped to his back, atleast), but the christmass-y happiness is there, trust me.

LF Christmas

The Lit Fuse Collection one album cover was a somewhat frustrating experience…

Album Cover 1 to 3

From top to bottom -I guess I watched some super-cool action movie full of mistery that day, because this is what came out.
Number 2 was just another take at the same idea behind the first attempt, while it was an increase in visual quality, I still couldn’t quite nail what I was going for.
Number 3, the final version that is now being used, was the fruit of late-night work. Michael’s kind words surely helped (something involving brass knuckles and excruciating pain). Instead of going for the usual version of our LF guy (that everyone agrees, keeps getting fatter every time), I went for a stylized look, and now that I think of it, he kind of looks like a pimp, don’t ask me why, but he does.

Finally, the music page design, with help from Michael and JP.

And at the bottom, the new ad that just entered rotation, with a cameo by our favorite pyromaniac.

That’s all for now, I’d love to show you the really cool stuff I’ve been doing, but you’ll have to hold on to your socks for those, but don’t worry, it’s coming!

Happy New Year - Music

I seem to be the Lit Fuse blog whore at the moment, making posts about anything, but that’s what it’s for! *points to rest of team

Anyway, Happy New Year guys, I say that now cause I’m headed out now, but I’m gonna leave you with a little taster of what I’ve been doing for the past day.

musicdownload.jpg This is a very early look of the music page, at the moment it just consists of what it needs. It has a preview button so you can listen to a 30 second clip of the song itself, each song from Lars will cost $1 separately but as an album it will be $15 (for 22 songs). When you purchase it through Paypal, you will be given a link to the main page again and shows the songs purchased ready for download, as the picture. Clicking download will download that song for you, but there is some things going on with it, the link will expire within 6 hours of purchase and the file itself is in the url but you HAVE to have a valid id in the url for it to work. Big thanks to Brad from Bradsucks.net.
