Machinima Excellence
As Zach said in an earlier post, we’ll be in a live podcast with Moddb which they like to call modcasts. I think you just go here and watch/listen.
The times will be as follows:
More info can be found here. Many thanks to Ryan for uploading all our videos to the Lit Fuse Moddb group.
Last night at 6PM, the BitFilm festival had shown more videos from each category in full. The categories shown then were Machinima, 3D Space, FX Mix and Realtime, with added extras of 360 Domefest videos. They got Rob and I to show ourselves to the audience and Rob spoke a bit on the microphone, along with Olly (Baron), the machinima director of I’m So Sick. We got to see the full version of A Wonderful Nature, which is very very funny if I may say so and I’d strongly advise watching it. It was great to hang out with some of the other creators as you see in the pic below and hear about the different stories they have to tell in their line of work and talk about our line of work in Machinima.
I’d like to give them a shout out here for being such cool guys.
Tomer Eshed and Dennis Rettkowski - A Wonderful Nature
Baron Soosdon - I’m So Sick
Georgios Cherouvim - Lifeforce
Rafael Cano - Antivirus
Aaron Koenig - BitFilm
To them: Sorry we left so abruptly but it was great to meet you all and hope you all like the BitFilm video when we release it. For everyone else: Check the pics below, there’s some ships, some logo, some us, some them and a pizza box with my foot next to it. Looking forward to seeing what will be entered next year at BitFilm.
Rusty Whispers Dennis is officially the first video to win an award for Lit Fuse and we were so happy to have won it. He announced the winner of the Machinima category and we both went up on stage to accept, in a room full of people in the planeterium, which you’ll see in the video we’ll release. After wards all the winners had their photo taken and had a few drinks too.
I gotta say, because BitFilm shows different things like computer animation etc, we got to see some really amazing stuff such as the Heavenly Sword flash video and A Wonderful Nature. The other contender in the Machinima contest was there also from Finland. He’s a cool person and his WoW music video was really well edited and must’ve taken a long time, so shout out to Baron or Olly what we like to call him.. some how.
Today we had two breakfasts and we were taken on a lil boat trip down the river which was nice. Rob looked like a pirate, you’ll see on the vid. Now we’re spending 30mins writing this blog and checking the nets then we’re off in the limo service to the hotel to chill and ready ourselves to be back at the Planeterium for the Machinima and 3d Space event. Tomorrow we’ll be leaving the hotel around 10:30 so you’ll probably be getting the ending BitFilm journey blogs when I get home. See you guys soon xxx.
