Just to let you all know, I’m off to Spain for the weekend with work so I won’t be able to respond to any contact us emails due to the excessive data charges when using my phone from abroad. Though when I go to New York, I might chip in for the bolt on for abroad data cause it’d be pretty nice for you guys to get live pics of me raping Zach.
Anyway, anyone who buys anything from the music store and it doesn’t work, you’ll have to wait till I get back to contact you about it.
In other news, we have 3 projects in the making. Flying Fenix, a Gears of War machinima, is hopefully going to be released on the 20th of October. Basically the filming is at a close for it (I think) and now the sound, music and effects work starts happening. I’ll give you a heads up if it’s delayed.
To conclude the last 2 blog posts, I don’t hate it as much anymore. The save function is still the bane of this game as I’ve crashed many many many many many times while I’ve done some progress. I mean it annoys me even if I saved just before hand and then did a trade deal on some spice that sold for 15k each and lost it due to the crash.
Anyway, as I said before I had quite a few enemies but there were some that didn’t hate me yet, so I chummed up to those people by giving them cash and doing some missions resulting in allying with them. This was very helpful as I was able to have an ally ship beside me and I had some green on the map. Obviously I didn’t have an enormous amount of cash so I thought about the spices and that I was only getting red spice from my planets and the moon next to my home planet had pink spices which I never had before.

Spore crashed. I give up… I actually made alliances and even gotten one of their buddies to come around to help me shoot the assholes killing my planet. I had trading routes too and even got offered to buy a solar system. AUTO SAVE DICKHEADS! IT SHOULD BE STANDARD SINCE 2001!
I got Spore on Friday during my dinner break at work so I was pretty anxious to bugger off home and give it a whirl. When I got home and had it installed, I was greeted by the warning message that said something along the lines of “You’ve got an invalid activation code” but allowed me to play offline. I checked the Spore forums and found that all these other people have been effected, many saying it was only the EU but we got it before America anyway (that’s a first). Turned out their servers got pummeled and we had to wait till they came back up before we could get creations made by others, which I wanted to wait for anyway so I continued making Flying Fenix. That didn’t bother me cause I had stuff to do, but later on during the game pissed me off more. Click more to read on.
