I did a backflip.

It was fun.

Lit Floose Flimes

I was bored so, I made a Lit Fuse jingle.

Michael the Sextraordinaire

told me to…

(2:53:45 PM) Michael: gooo on
(2:53:55 PM) Michael: I can’t go after myself
(2:53:58 PM) Michael: that’s just rude

…twat

In other news, remember that post I made about the Rick Roll and the suspected ddos which really wasn’t one? Well a few days after I got ddos attacked, this time for real. Pretty much blows having a server down and such, especially when it hosts multiple sites, such as Ben’s, mine, and a few communities of mine and others.

I was also reading about the effects of viewing a computer screen all the time and I found out I pretty much have encountered every single side effect they mention. Article here: clicky

Oh I almost forgot, this shit is pretty cool: http://www.immersivemedia.com/ - it takes the panoramic photograph concept but rather than using still photographs it uses video.

Are you still doing that hand thing?

april fools is big business

for those who don’t know…

I host a seemingly popular rick roll (smouch.net/lol) which got a perk in traffic this last April Fools.

The Whos.Amung.Us statistics peaked at 832 online viewers (that’s 832 people getting rick rolled in a 1 minute time frame).

The rick roll usually has a count of 100-300 online “rollees” at any given point in time, but not on April Fools, international day of Rick Roll.

My host thought we were getting botnet ddos’d:

Well, someone is botnetting with acknowledgment request (that meaning, that for each packet is sent by the botnet, the server sends one back.)… The server is uploading data at a steady 70-200MB/s to satisfy all the requests these botnets are sending. Unfortunately I have no effective way of stopping it without running the risk of blocking all traffic for certain users.

The server uploaded 600GB of data within the past 24 hours. If the attacks continue, it’ll exceed to over 1TeraByte by tommorow morning.

ddos
Can you see why he thought we were being attacked? lol

He soon realized after a little investigative work…

Jesus fucking christ, I was wrong.

I just looked at the access logs. It is not an attack.

Since today is April fools, a fuckload of traffic has been pointed to the smouch.net/lol directory… Theres literally been hundreds, even thousands of people getting Rick Rolled every minute. :o

Wow, just amazing.

All in all, on April Fools I made a little over $9.00 in google adsense from 103,944 unique hits to which only 87 people clicked an ad, curse you AdBlock!
