Don’t get your hopes up from the fancy title.
This is a look into the poster-design process, made up of the jpg saves I do along the way. In the future, expect timelapse-goodness that will certainly have a lot more to show. Like I said, don’t get your hopes up.
I did this in roughly an hour yesterday, using a mix of photos, screenshots, and hand-drawn elements by myself. The video actually fails to show the parts of the process I enjoyed the most, but it’ll do for now.
The song is called “Annie - Heartbeat (Living Lars Remix)”…Yes, the same fellow that makes all the awesome LFF songs. Check out his website at djlarsa.com, or drop by our music store, using the navigation at the top.
Oh yes, the actual video! Check it’s youtube page for the HD version.
And the finished product:
So went back into GTA4 today and pulled some more screwaround footage out. even though the video is pretty bland and unmotivated it’s still a great feeling to be editing footage again, getting back to feeling out the rhythm of cuts, and working with timing and such. This is just another goof off video, just throwing togehter some gameplay fluff. Mostly I looked at this as improving my own ability to follow the line during more frantic/reversing action sequences. I don’t think I really succeeded in that respect, if you look closely there are a few shots where I had to flip the image in order to respect the line, so you’ll see some backwards text for sure. There’s also a fancy(or goofy) little effects shot that brian pulled together, despite my consant harassment. he actually went on to improve that shot beyond the one I used in the video, it’s right below.
Mysfit has released a long overdue video of his and it’s pretty hot. You can check it out below.
It’s a little dark, and the framing could use some minor tweaks, but all the stuff going on in the background conveys a pretty cool idea effectively.
