Scraps time.

right, it’s been a long time since content has graced these pages, and in lieu of an actual, meaningful update, I figure I’ll just post up some of my tests and scraps that have been hanging around the litfuse file depository. the following is rough stuff. unfinished, raw, buggy, crappy footage that was only rendered for test purposes, long ago.

first up is a bit of random faffery in gears, the clip is without sound, or any real meaning. was just a bit of fooling around with matinee. this clip is nearly ancient

and as the clip above is basically a dinosaur, the one below is from somewhere out of the Pleistocene era. an evolved version of it appears in the film mentioned at the bottom of this page. it’s old, crappy, choppy, and shaky.

Keep in mind. EVERYTHING IS GONE, as far as movies go, the files for projects past are gone, so don’t expect to see any releases come out of what gets shown, I’m not STOPPING machinima, but the files for the movies that HAD been in development are no longer fixable. that being said one project does survive in the form of a trio of flawless high def renders. unfortunately half of that footage is unpolished and has quite a few bugs present in the image. (it was never finalized.) The footage though is salvageable, even if the movie isnt finishable, it  MIGHT just show up here anyway as a real release. at the very least, a few more details on it should come out.

I went through the forum today and I figured I’d go watch a video in the machinima forum, one of things I very rarely do given the fact I’m in a machinima group but anyway, I watched this one by Psyborg (Jonathan Phillips) and it’s got some nice dialogue that feels real and true to the half life world. A few things which would improve it would be better sound quality for the voices and the womans line to be a little louder but other than that it’s a cool short from him.

In other news for Lit Fuse. I’m currently* writing a script for a short series using the Unreal engine again. I know a few of you wished for more Source engine videos, but that’s Zach’s and Rob’s field. I’m sure Smooth Few Films could quench your Source thirst for now. Oh and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone.
