Kill Kill Roll Roll extended song

Just a heads up since Zach did a shitty job releasing everything at the same time, I’ve put the song up on the music store so I hope those who get it enjoy it.

It’s the extended version of the song at 3 minutes 18 seconds long, so it’s a nice extension if you liked it.

The Triple Threat Times Two

There you have it. Call the papers, alert the proper authorities, the first dark ages of litfuse films has finally broken. That Heralding chorus of angels you hear? thats the sound of the now 4 month span of no-releases breaking into a thousand indiscernable pieces. We’re back. feels great.

Then there’s the subject matter of the release. I’m guessing a continuation of a previous series is a nice way to get back up to snuff. You’ve got the accomplishment of making new content but with the inviting ease of familliar territory, sure, something more original will be epic. Following that line of logic, you get Melon3, which, for all keeping score, stands as the third installment in the melon man series AND the third installment of the thundermelon series. This time bringing marginally more backstory to both installments. While thundermelon has always been about just throwing as many melons into frame as possible , Melon Man is more of a personal benchmark I guess. For the absolutely dedicated, some will recall that the original melon man was my first foray into the realm of machinima, all the way back when I was But a wee child indeed, that was back in 2004. Then In the early days of 2006, In the early days when I was first beginning my current streak of machinima, I slapped together Melon man 2.0, using my newly found faceposer skills. Man , in both of those examples I was so terrible at filmaking. I guess in 2010 as I release melon man 4 I’ll be able to look back at this day and call myself a noob once again. For those who wish to subject themselves to machinima bordering on terrible, here’s the links to melon man 1 and 2. As for the portion of this release that consists of thundermelon canon, I need make no excuses, It is badass. Nuff said, I’m so proud of myself. I don’t care how arrogant that makes me sound. though an argument could be made that I’m more proud of the awesome folks who made all this possible. Lars for your incredibly kickin Rock tunes, Rob for your quirky great performance, Oskar for . . . putting up with my bitchy nagging, joe, michael, Ya’ll are great. For posterity, here’s thundermelon 1 and 2.

We’ve got a little bit of followup planned for this release. We’ll be adding an extended version of the song KILL KILL ROLL ROLL to the music store shortly. I’m also tossing around the idea of putting up the thundermelon sequence standalone to the extras section with the credits removed. we’ll see.

Finally, if you experience any broken streams on the site, Please bear with us as those are just an unfortunate side effect of the stage6 loss. I guess thats what we get for trusting such a reliable and high quality streaming host.

P.S. dont think that for the past 4 months we’ve been working on JUST this one movie, it’s only been about a week and a half. the film drought was caused by more complicated factors.

P.P.S.  OH FUCK! EMERGENCY CREDIT. Extreme thanks to Blackops7799 for is info_particle_stool which I totally took for granted. It’s how we did all those crazy explosions.

On the eve of a release

The next movie is essentially done. Oskars finishing effects up tonight, all the filming is done, all the editing is done, all the music is done, all the titles are done. we’re in fuckyeah mode.

Also, that shots representative of the final product.

Goodbye Stage6

On the 28th of Feb, Stage6 will cease to function due to massive expenditures. So what does this mean for us? Well actually not that much, I’m currently setting in motion what I’ve wanted for a while, for us to hold our own content. Considering we have 5.8 Terabytes (5800gb) bandwidth limit, I think we’re safe on the usage. The only point of which I’m worried is with a new release, which is real close now, would a site like Digg manage to crash our server? Most probably.

Anyway I’ve been downloading the videos we have in both wmv and divx formats and I’m going to upload them to our ftp. The reason we’ll still be using the .divx format is because the divx web player will still be available whether or not Stage6 is up because we’ll be using our own host. So we can continue streaming HD content with the Divx web player and provide wmv direct downloads. I look forward to the first month when the new video is released.

We thank you Stage6, even though your upload process and reliability sucked, your ability to stream HD content for free was amazing and probably the main factor in your demise. Just pray the Divx team keep the web player support!
